Another winter, another Jean Jacket

The first time I ever went out with Shawn was when a friend from work, Wayne, Shawn and I went out to dinner after work. It was a cold night and shawn was wearing a jean jacket. I thought "what is this kid wearing, a jean jacket?!" I didn't bring a heavy jacket and we parked far away from where we ate so we had to walk and I was cold. Shawn, being the gentleman that he is, offered me his jacket. I had to refuse his offer though, because it was a jean jacket (and also way too big for me)!! What I didn't yet know was that he didn't just wear his jean jacket with his work outfits, but also with his denim pants (and even I, unfashoinable me, know that's a fashion no-no). I think this is ironic because Shawn is the resident fashion police on our aisle at work, constantly criticizing Erin and I for our shoes (really, can boat shoes be as bad as a jean jacket?).

NO.

While Shawn was on rotation working at the Pentagon, Erin and I spent a slow afternoon creating what we think an updated version of Shawn's jacket should be like (he was asking weather he should add patches to the jacket!). So we broke out the glue sticks and scissors, created a dark denim version with Led Zeppelin lyrics, and posted our creation in Shawn's cube.

Our version of an updated denim jacket for Shawn.

Last winter, after Shawn and I started dating, we ended up going jacket shopping. I tried to get him to buy another jacket, anything-  a pea coat, a north face jacket, anything. Much to my dismay, he ended up buying another jean jacket, except this one had brown fuzz on the inside of the collar.

No. Double NO.

This winter I have brought Shawn jacket shopping again, but have not succeeded in convincing him to get a regular jacket (but fortunately he has not bought another jean jacket). It was not until I was helping Shawn move a bit back and I discovered he had a third denim jacket. Where does the madness end? It must be noted that Shawn's X-box character is also dressed in jeans and a denim jacket.
