During a day trip to Annapolis, we rented a kayak and paddled around the harbor. When we rented a kayak with Jack's boathouse in DC, it was an enclosed kayak. The only tandem kayak the Annapolis Canoe and Kayak had left was an open kayak. At first I was sure we would tip because its more unstable, but we did'nt! I ended up getting a funny tan because I was wearing long shorts. I still have the funny tan half way down my legs 2 weeks later!

Both times we have gone kayaking, Shawn has been in the back (I guess he fits better there) and he gets to do the steering and I'm the power. Kayaking together is really a test of our teamwork skills, and we both get frustrated. We each think the other sucks at their job. It seems like we are always heading more towards one direction rather than straight though!
