Engagement # a million: Stacy and Seth

Among my many friends who are engaged (or married at this point) a newer pair of my friends have chosen to tie the knot. Stacy and Seth got engaged over Labor Day weekend. We all knew about the proposal ahead of time (that is, everyone but Stacy!) and it was so exciting (and hard) waiting for it to happen.

The plot: She went home for Labor Day weekend, and her parents brought her to a restaurant for a "family dinner" but then "forgot something in the car" so she went ahead and got the table. When she walked in, there was Seth, waiting for her (he flew in to surprise her). He gave her a photo album of pictures and on the last page was a picture of the ring, and a picture of him bent down on his knee. He then asker her to marry him (also, on his knee). She says she started crying the second she saw him and couldn't wait to flip through the album.

We threw a surprise engagement party for them last Friday. Needless to say it was lots of fun (in the apartment with no furniture!), lots of appetizers, lots of giggling, and confetti everywhere.
